Being able to record Zoom meetings is a useful trick that can be used many different ways. You can even download Zoom recordings, allowing you to review them anywhere, on any device, without needing to be logged into your Zoom account. You can even swap recordings with your friends and colleagues. Talk about portability! The question is: how do you do that? A recording you made and saved locally will be on your computer already so no need to download it! You can also download a cloud recording by someone else, but you need to have a valid URL link to it, and the host has to have permitted viewers to download it.

What you need to get your hands on a Zoom meeting recording download depends on who created it and where it was saved. But you can do it from either a desktop computer or a mobile device. In order to download a Zoom meeting recording that someone else has created and saved to the cloud, a few different things need to happen:. You can also delete recordings one at a time, in selected groups, or all at once. There are also options to search for a specific recording, export a spreadsheet of data about your recordings, or delete multiple recordings at once.

Clicking Open will display the file folder containing the recording files, so you can open them manually. If only the Open option is available, it means that recording has been saved in the cloud on your Zoom account. Download Your Zoom Cloud Recordings | D2L Help – Prerequisites for accessing and downloading Zoom recordings

 

Recordings in the Zoom cloud can be easily downloaded to your local computer should you have a need to save them. The instructions for doing so via either the interface in D2L Brightspace and the Zoom website itself can be found below.

If you have instructional videos that you plan on reusing in future semesters, you must still download the videos you created in Zoom and then upload those videos to our streaming Capture server. If you don’t plan on reusing recordings but want to allow current students to download recordings before they are deleted, see the instructions for Making Cloud Recordings Downloadable. Whether you download your recordings from D2L Brightspace or the Zoom portal, it is recommended that you save your recordings with both a naming convention and folder structure that will make it easy for you to identify each video when it comes time to upload to the streaming server and eventually adding back to your course.

Microsoft Stream is available for EKU students, faculty, and staff to use to host videos. Videos can further be restricted when changing their viewing permissions. Microsoft Stream allows for more social interaction of your video. Lastly, if you need the broadest availability for your video, you can upload it to YouTube. If you want to restrict who can view the video, one can upload their video to YouTube unlisted which allows only those with the direct link to the video to view it.

Unlisted YouTube videos are not searchable. Connect Twitter Facebook YouTube. You will need to login using your EKU credentials. Select the date range your recording s occurred. Do not enter any search terms unless in the unlikely event you have a very large number of recordings and click “Search. Top Downloading your Cloud Recordings From the search list, click your desired recording.

On this page, locate the file called “Shared screen with speaker view” and click the download button to the right. Depending on your browser settings, it will either download the file to your default location or prompt you were to save it.

Most likely, your file is saved to your “Downloads” folder. After the download completes, click the Trash button to send it to Zoom’s Cloud Recording Trash where it will remain available for 30 days for retrival before permanent deletion. Top Sharing your Recordings There are few ways to share your cloud recording with others.

Your file will be downloaded to the Downloads area of your computer. Once logged in, click on ” Recordings ” in the side navigation panel. At the top of the page, make sure that you are on the ” Cloud Recordings ” tab. From the list of Cloud Recordings, find the session you want to download.

Click on the three-dot icon on the right-hand side of the recording you want to download. From the sub-menu, select ” Download. Click the ” Allow ” button. Uploading Recording Files into the Media Library Once the files are stored locally on your machine, you can follow the same instructions used to upload local Zoom recordings to the Media Library.

Your browser does not support iframes. Once Logged in, click on ” Recordings ” in the side panel. From the list of Cloud Recordings, find the recording you want to download.
